Zero Sum Heart – Official Release Date Trailer | The Indie Horror Showcase 2024 – IGN
A brand new trailer for the terrifying psychological horror game *Zero Sum Heart* was released, providing the date we can expect to jump into the horrors the game brings. Developer 5 Levels and publisher Akupara Games revealed that the game would launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 31st, 2024. If you’re not familiar with the title, *Zero Sum Heart* will let you play as Emily, a woman trying to deal with a difficult life. To help deal with this burden, Emily decides to join a group of friends on a camping trip. It’s a welcome distraction from her daily life, but as things get stranger and the mystery deepens, the friends begin to lose sight of what is real. With disturbing visions, mind-bending puzzles, and chilling events to overcome, it appears that Emily’s internal struggles and the world around her are becoming intertwined.
The gameplay is primarily centered around the investigation of various puzzles, with exploration of a horrifying and unsettling world, including unsettling areas within a haunted mansion. You will encounter disturbing and challenging puzzles to solve, along with the haunting atmosphere and terrifying psychological horror elements to truly make the game frightening.
Players must utilize a range of skills such as puzzle-solving and the ability to navigate complex mental spaces as you move between reality and your anxieties. You can even find different routes through levels and discover new paths to progress your adventure. *Zero Sum Heart* seems to provide an engaging blend of mental challenges alongside an eerie world and an interesting character driven by her internal conflict.
