These Apple Intelligence will not come with iOS 18.1 update – The Times of India

While Apple is likely to be working on several new features and updates for its operating systems, some of the more ambitious features are unlikely to make an appearance in the first point release. The most talked about features in the Apple universe are likely to come in later updates and possibly a new generation of hardware. As Apple readies for its fall event, several whispers have started to emerge around some exciting features being released soon. This, however, will likely not be part of the iOS 18.1 update which will come in a matter of weeks. 

Amongst those unlikely to be present in iOS 18.1 are the features related to Apple’s ambitious quest to integrate intelligence into its operating systems. Rumors abound that Apple will unveil new features to elevate the user experience and integrate AI functionalities in new ways. This, however, might have to wait for another software update or maybe the unveiling of a new generation of iPhone hardware. 

Although not mentioned explicitly, the intelligence-powered features may not be ready in time for a stable release. Or it may have not gone through enough testing for a general release yet. Additionally, it’s highly likely that Apple’s approach is measured and they may prefer to focus on a handful of new features first instead of a barrage of upgrades, potentially leading to software glitches and user confusion.

However, some lesser features may arrive in the iOS 18.1 update, alongside the bug fixes, optimizations, and security patches that accompany such an update. There may also be small but notable new feature additions. 

As iOS 18 inches closer to its release, speculations around Apple’s vision and plans are running wild. While there’s excitement around these intelligence-focused features, there’s also a healthy dose of cautious anticipation as users anticipate a well-refined experience that integrates the features flawlessly.
