However, he acknowledged the need for continual learning and improvement. In a Twitter post following the recent failure, he expressed: “There’s much to improve on… this test will lead to significant increases in system reliability.”

In a statement to SpaceNews, Orbital ATK Vice President Rob Meyers lauded SpaceX’s ambitious spirit, calling it a “demonstration of the innovative and fearless approach to spacecraft development” that embodies the spirit of space exploration.
