Google Photos getting new ‘Updates’ feed – 9to5Google
Google Photos is getting a new way to stay updated on all your memories, a new “Updates” feed. It is currently being tested with select users.
Currently, Google Photos has an “Updates” tab on its Android app that shows all of the photos and videos that have been added to your Google Photos library in the past few weeks, regardless of where they originated. While this gives a good general view of your library, some may prefer a curated selection.
According to 9to5Google, the new “Updates” feed offers a different approach. It uses the AI features in Google Photos to highlight the best moments of your memories.
It’s also possible that the new “Updates” feed will be featured more prominently in Google Photos, with an expanded display and additional capabilities compared to the current “Updates” tab. However, since the feed is currently in testing, these features may not be available to all users, and the rollout may still be a while away.
Despite this, it does seem like Google is working towards enriching Google Photos experience by utilizing its AI to better connect users with their photos and videos. We look forward to seeing what new features and functionalities will be available in the near future.
We’ll continue to keep you updated on all Google Photos developments.
