More Zelda-Like Puzzle Crawling Arrives On Switch This Month In ‘Dungeons Of Dreadrock 2’ – Nintendo Life
There’s a growing niche in the indie scene that is dedicated to emulating the magic of classic The Legend of Zelda titles, and soon Switch owners will have another game to add to the pile. ‘Dungeons of Dreadrock 2’, from developer Piko Interactive, looks to be more of a Metroidvania than the likes of Oceanhorn, though there are still obvious nods to the original ‘Zelda’.
The action-adventure puzzler features a world riddled with ancient dungeons to explore and tackle, with the central premise involving the rescue of a kidnapped princess. Throughout the game, players will unlock new items, learn spells, and collect weaponry as they battle foes and solve puzzles that stand in the way of progress. The pixel-art style of ‘Dungeons of Dreadrock 2’ is very charming and looks to take inspiration from older titles in the NES and Super NES era. While this may not sound too unique, the devs at Piko Interactive are striving to deliver a fun and engaging experience, with an emphasis on rewarding exploration.
‘Dungeons of Dreadrock 2’ arrives on Nintendo Switch via the eShop on November 24, 2023, and will retail for $7.99 USD.
