New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday paid rich tributes to legendary industrialist Ratan Tata, calling him a visionary who left an indelible mark on Indian society. “Ratan Tata, a visionary, left an indelible mark on our society. His dedication to innovation and social responsibility continues to inspire us. Remembering him with respect and gratitude,” Sitharaman tweeted.

Tata, the former chairman of Tata Sons, passed away on Sunday at the age of 83. He led the Tata group to new heights, transforming it into a global conglomerate with a diverse portfolio of businesses, ranging from automobiles and steel to software and consumer products. Tata was widely respected for his business acumen, ethical leadership, and philanthropic work.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, remembering Tata’s contributions, said: “Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Ratan Tata. He was an exceptional business leader and an inspiration to generations. His commitment to excellence, his dedication to giving back to society, and his unwavering belief in the power of human potential will be deeply missed.”
