Kanika Dhillon reveals Kriti Sanon auditioned with 10 actors before selecting actor Shaheer Sheikh for Do Patti

In a recent interview, Kanika Dhillon, the writer of the upcoming film “Do Patti,” revealed some interesting details about the casting process. The film stars Kriti Sanon and will see her essaying a double role. Dhillon shared that Sanon, known for her strong acting chops, had to audition with a whopping 10 different actors before finally settling on Shaheer Sheikh for the role of her love interest.

Dhillon said, “Kriti and I spent quite some time choosing the perfect co-star for her. We wanted someone who could hold his own against her in a scene and someone with whom she had chemistry. We ended up auditioning a total of 10 actors, and Shaheer Sheikh was simply phenomenal. There was something so fresh and charming about his energy that we instantly knew he was the right choice.”

Dhillon further mentioned, “Kriti was a bit nervous about playing two roles for the first time. But once she met Shaheer and we started rehearsals, she completely settled into the role. She is one of the most talented actors I know, and she brings such authenticity and nuance to her performance.”

“Do Patti” tells the story of a con artist who takes on two different personas to pull off the perfect scam. The film is said to be a light-hearted comedy thriller and promises a mix of humor, romance, and intrigue. While details about Sheikh’s character are kept under wraps, his chemistry with Sanon is sure to be a highlight of the film.
