Apple iPhone SE 4 Leaked Case Hints at Design Changes

Apple iPhone SE 4 leaked case hints at design changes: Here’s what we know so far

The upcoming iPhone SE 4 has been in the news for some time now with several leaks and rumours already surfacing online. While Apple is yet to confirm the launch, we know the device will have a new design, powered by the A15 Bionic chip and feature 5G connectivity.

The latest leak hints at what we can expect from the iPhone SE 4’s design and while the information is based on a case design, it gives us an early look at the expected design changes.

iPhone SE 4 design: Expected changes

Leaked cases of the iPhone SE 4 that have surfaced online seem to point towards a new design for the iPhone SE 4, ditching the home button and Touch ID. The new design features a flat-edged frame that is more akin to the iPhone XR or iPhone 11.

It also suggests a large display screen that fills almost the entire front, likely featuring a notch at the top to accommodate the selfie camera. The leaked case renders seem to confirm rumours that suggested the iPhone SE 4 might be based on the iPhone XR and retain the same form factor as the 2018 iPhone XR.

Apple iPhone SE 4: What else do we know so far?

As per reports, the upcoming iPhone SE 4 will be powered by Apple’s A15 Bionic chip. We also know that the iPhone SE 4 will come with a 6.1-inch LCD display and is expected to be powered by the same chip as the iPhone 13. The iPhone SE 4 is also rumoured to be available in three colour options. This will include Black, White and a red colour option. The iPhone SE 4 is expected to sport a 12MP rear camera, which could mean a big upgrade over the 12MP camera that comes in the iPhone SE 3. It will come with a new design featuring a bigger display, possibly based on the iPhone XR’s design.

However, a big update may be absent. The iPhone SE 4 may not feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, unlike the latest flagship iPhone models. This means the device may come with a physical button for unlocking the device.

While this new leak adds another piece to the iPhone SE 4 puzzle, there is no confirmed release date for the new device as of now. We have yet to get confirmation from Apple regarding the expected design. The rumours are likely to persist until Apple formally confirms them, most likely at an event towards the end of this year.
