Redmi K80 series snags CQC certification with three models in the lineup – GSMArena.com news – GSMArena.com
The Redmi K80 series is nearing its launch. We’ve heard about a potential March unveiling, but today a leak confirms at least a couple of key things about the line. Three models with different battery capacities are being certified by CQC.
That alone means the Redmi K80 series will be quite varied and is going to include a budget model along with other phones likely offering some very competitive pricing.
The three models identified are:
* 22041216C – Redmi K80 Pro
* 22041217C – Redmi K80
* 22041218C – Redmi K80 SE
That SE could also turn out to be a Lite or simply Redmi K80 as there’s a chance one of these two entries is only meant for certain markets. In either case, there will be several versions of the K80 with different battery capacity.
22041216C, believed to be Redmi K80 Pro is confirmed to be having a 5000 mAh battery capacity and the 22041218C, expected to be Redmi K80 SE will be rocking a 4900 mAh cell.
These numbers indicate the Xiaomi Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 SE could share many specs since their battery is very close in terms of capacity. That would give Redmi plenty of freedom to push more aggressive pricing as well. We are still left without knowing what the battery capacity of the Redmi K80 model, carrying the 22041217C model number. It would be reasonable to expect to be somewhere between the two aforementioned options, possibly sporting 4950 mAh cell capacity.
No other specifications are known at this time, but the rumors are starting to build as the launch gets closer. If we’re right, March is looking like a hot month for Redmi phone lovers.
