WR DK Metcalf to miss Seahawks’ game Sunday against Rams with knee sprain
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf will miss Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a knee sprain, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
Metcalf suffered the injury in the second half of Seattle’s Week 10 loss to the Buccaneers. He was seen limping off the field and was later ruled out for the remainder of the game.
“DK’s got a knee sprain,” Carroll said Monday. “We’re not going to have him this week. We’ll see how it goes next week.”
Metcalf is a key part of the Seahawks’ offense, and his absence will be a big loss for the team. He leads Seattle in receiving yards with 547 yards and three touchdowns.
The Seahawks are currently 6-3 and in first place in the NFC West. They will be looking to rebound from their loss to the Buccaneers against the Rams.
The Rams are currently 3-6 and have been struggling this season. They will be looking to get their season back on track against the Seahawks.
Metcalf’s absence will likely mean more targets for Tyler Lockett and Marquise Goodwin. The Seahawks will also be looking to their running backs to step up in Metcalf’s absence.
The Seahawks will face the Rams in Week 11, so they have a chance to rest and recover for their Week 12 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. This gives them a chance for Metcalf to rest up before the final stretch of the regular season.
The Seahawks will be looking to get back on track in Week 11 and try to get their running game going. If the Seahawks want to stay on top of the NFC West, they’ll need to figure out how to succeed in a tough environment like Los Angeles without DK Metcalf on the field. He is one of the most dynamic receivers in the league, and his absence will definitely hurt the Seahawks. It will be a tough battle without their star receiver.
